Hello.
I'm Robin Eurgubian— college counselor and instructor, parent, and admissions specialist. I've worked with thousands of students to navigate the college admissions process during my 15+ years in education. Do you know what that means? I've read thousands of college essays and learned a lot about how to make them stand out. Let me guide you as you select the best prompts and stories, add insight to your self-reflection, and effectively edit without losing your authentic voice.
And would you believe me if I said it's possible to add ease to the process— maybe even some joy?
After all, crafting your college essays represents a culmination of all your hard work and experience so far.
So yeah, you should celebrate just a little. 🎉

My Story
Immediately upon graduating from UCLA and earning my MA in School Counseling and PPS credential, my goal was to deep-dive into the world of college admissions to the reach the title of expert. Over my fourteen years in education, I have developed that expertise across all aspects of admissions. From supporting countless students prepare their applications to evaluating applications for UC Berkeley, I know how a strong essay should read and what to include in an application so that an admissions office takes notice. With that comprehensive admissions lens still in mind, I now focus on my greatest skill: drawing out strength and story from students so they can submit the most compelling essays possible— and that's exactly what I'm here to do for you.
Coming from a long line of educators, I know that the best of the bunch devote themselves to the following framework:
-
Every student is capable
-
Every student needs encouragement
-
Every student has a creative side (it just might need some of that aforementioned encouragement)
This mission guides my work with every student, in every session. I'm a college admissions consultant, but first and foremost, I am a counselor. My approach is student-centered, rooted in lifting students up while keeping them accountable.
Finally, I recognize two truths: every student is the expert of their own story and I'm the expert on college admissions. This is what we refer to as a solid example of teamwork. So, let's get to work!
